Towards the Rome Summit: the Italian G20 Presidency in figures

The G20 Heads of State and Government Summit will be held in Rome on October 30 and 31, with the participation of the G20 Leaders, of their counterparts from invited countries, and of representatives of some of the main international and regional organizations. The Ministers of Economy and Finance traditionally also take part in the event.

The Summit is the climax of the G20 process and the final stage, at Leaders’ level, of the intense work carried out within ministerial meetings, working groups, and Engagement Groups and other institutional events throughout the year of the G20 Presidency.

A long negotiation process and a huge organizational effort that involved many institutions and numerous Italian cities.

Here are some key numbers:

175 events

20 ministerial meetings

2 G20 Leaders’ meetings on Health and Afghanistan

62 Working Groups’ meetings

60 Finance Track meetings

8 Engagement Groups
